Netarts Park Facility Closed Release

Press Release: For Immediate Release

From: Tillamook County Parks Department

To: Tillamook County Residents

Subj: Temporary Park Facility Closure

Date: June 10, 2027

Dear Community Members,

We value the health, safety, and enjoyment of everyone who visits and utilizes the Netarts Boat Basin, and we are committed to maintaining our facilities to the highest possible standards. In order to carry out essential maintenance and repairs, the Netarts Boat Basin Parking Lot will be temporarily closed, beginning the early morning of Tuesday, June 30, 2026, and is expected to reopen the morning of Wednesday, July 1, 2026. The decision to close the facility was made after careful consideration of safety requirements, operational needs, and the long-term benefits for our community.

This closure will affect all areas of the boat basin parking lot as shown in red on the associated map.

During the closure period, park staff will be working diligently with the contractor to repave the existing parking lot, repair curbs and restripe. These improvements are designed to enhance your future visits, ensuring that the park facility remains a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable space for all.

We understand that this may cause inconvenience, especially for those who regularly use the facility for their recreation or commercial needs. We sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time. For your safety, we kindly request that you do not enter any closed areas, as work zones may contain hazards such as heavy equipment, uneven surfaces, or restricted access points.

If you have questions or require additional information, please contact Dan Keyes, Tillamook County Parks Director by email at dan.keyes@tillamookcounty.gov or by phone 503-322-3522.

Thank you for your understanding, support, and commitment to keeping our community spaces safe and vibrant.

Sincerely,

Dan Keyes, Parks Director
