Solid Waste Administration
Our Purpose
Tillamook County regulates solid waste management, providing a coordinated and fiscally responsible solid waste program to protect the health, safety and welfare of the people, and the natural and scenic resources of Tillamook County.
Tillamook County seeks to minimize the impacts of materials throughout their lifecycle, implementing outreach and education strategies that encourage thoughtful consumption, the reduction of toxics, and the recovery of our material resources.
*As of July 28th the Pacific City Transfer Station (38255 Brooten Rd) has shifted to a modified operations schedule. Municipal solid waste (garbage), yard debris and scrap metal will only be accepted on Saturdays and Sundays. Recycling collection will be moved to the Cloverdale Public Works building (34500 Hwy 101 S), with access available on Friday & Monday. We hope to add more recycling collection days in the near future. Thank you for your cooperation*
* Next hazardous waste collection event is scheduled for Saturday 08/15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the TIllamook Transfer Station (1315 Eckloff Rd.). Business drop-off is available on 08/14 at the same location. Reservation is required (paperwork on website).
*The Oregon Recycling Modernization Act (RMA) is effective as of July, 1 2025. The new law will enable Tillamook County to collect more materials for recycling at our three transfer stations, as well as provide increased opportunities to offer curbside recycling. The Manzanita, Tillamook & Pacific City transfer stations now accepts most types of #1, #2 & #5 plastics (tubs, nursery pots, buckets), as well as aseptic cartons*
