Phishing Scam for DCD fees!

A recent fraudulent attempt is known to DCD staff, attempting to display themselves as an invoice to Community Development related fee's. Please check with DCD Staff before responding to requests for invoices and fee's for services. Tillamook County DCD will not request wire transfers for funds. Please review the email address, which should included '@tillamookcounty.gov'. If you have any questions, please reach out to our Department at 503-842-3408. 

Additional reports have been made regarding this issue in January, 2026, so we are reminding the public about this problem. Recent reports include email addresses ending in '@usa.com'.

Staff are also seeing recent attempts to be Tillamook County staff sending documents using "www.SendSpace.com" or some version of this program name. Please note, TIllamook County staff do not use this platform. If you have questions about viability of documents sent to you, before you open them, reach out by phone or in-person to County Staff persons.

Please be mindful and check who has sent the email, looking at the email address form the sender, not just whose listed in the Body of the email. Tillamook County staff email from an email ending in "@Tillamookcounty.gov". If you are still unsure, please reach out to our Department at 503-842-3408.
