Information Requests
The Tillamook County Medical Examiner's Office will not provide information about any death until Next of Kin have been notified. After this notification has taken place, information shared with the general public over the phone is limited to a confirmation of an individual's death unless the Next of Kin has authorized otherwise. Any further inquiries must be directed to the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office and/or the involved law enforcement agency.

Who may request Medical Examiner records?
Under ORS 146.035 (5)Notwithstanding ORS 192.345 (Public records conditionally exempt from disclosure)(36):
(a)Any parent, spouse, sibling, child or personal representative of the deceased, or any person who may be criminally or civilly liable for the death, or their authorized representatives respectively, may examine and obtain copies of any medical examiner’s report, autopsy report or laboratory test report ordered by a medical examiner under ORS 146.117 (Autopsies).
