Important Dates for the May 19, 2026 Primary Election
  • For District Candidates
    • 9/11/2025      First day for candidate to file for office (SEL 101)
    • 3/3/2026      Last day for incumbent candidate to file for office
      • House bill 4024 passed in 2024 requiring elected incumbents seeking re-election to file their declaration of candidacy or nominating petition at least seven days before the regular filing deadline for other candidates - that deadline change has been implemented for the 2026 election cycle and thereafter via administrative rulemaking, with the rule going into effect January 1, 2026
    • 3/10/2026    Last day for candidate to file for office 
    • 3/13/2026    Last day to withdraw candidacy
  • For County, City & District Measures
    • 2/27/2026    Last day to file text of referral/ballot title for challenge period
    • 3/19/2026    Last day for jurisdictions to file or withdrawal Notice of Measure Election
  • For Precinct Committee Persons
    • 9/11/2025      First day for candidate to file for office (SEL 105) PDF or Online Filing here:  PCP Online Filing Portal
    • 3/10/2026    Last day for candidate to file for office 
    • 3/13/2026    Last day to withdraw candidacy
  • For Voters
    • 4/04/2026      Ballots mailed to military/overseas voters
    • 4/07/2026      Absentee ballots available
    • 4/20/2026      Ballots mailed to out of state voters
    • 4/28/2026      Last day to register to vote - Update or register online at My Vote, Mail a voter registration form, or register in person.  Mailed registration cards must be postmarked by 4/28/2026.
    • 4/29/2026       Ballots mailed to voters and ballot drop boxes opened Dropsite List (PDF)
    • 5/14/2026        Last day Election Official to mail replacement ballots to voters
    • 5/19/2026        Election Day - Tillamook County Elections will be open 7am - 8pm.  Official Ballot Drop Sites will be closed at 8pm.  Ballots must be mailed with a postmark on this date or received in an Official Drop Site before 8pm.  Don't forget to sign your ballot return envelope!

Statement Regarding Local Voters’ Pamphlet

Tillamook County does not have a local voters’ pamphlet for the current election. A local pamphlet has not been produced in prior years and was not budgeted or staffed for this election cycle.

Producing a voters’ pamphlet requires dedicated staff, secure publication processes, legally established timelines, and the adoption of an official fee schedule through  administrative rules. These requirements are significant, and the Elections Office did not have the staffing or budget authority to implement them for the current year.

The Clerk’s Office is evaluating the feasibility of offering a local voters’ pamphlet in a future budget cycle, but it is not available for this election.

Voters may continue to reference the Oregon Secretary of State’s Voters’ Pamphlet, which is mailed statewide for federal and statewide contests and is available online at sos.oregon.gov/voting.

Received = total number of ballots cast.

Accepted = total number of ballots without challenges.  A challenged (unaccepted) ballot is one where the signature does not match the Voter record OR a voter did not sign the ballot return envelope.
